Package: ruby-xmmsclient
Severity: important
Control: -1 user debian-r...@lists.debian.org
Control: -1 usertag ruby18-removal

Dear Maintainer,

Your package build-depends on ruby1.8 which is not a version supported
anymore upstream. The Ruby team is willing to get rid of it for Jessie.
Since Ruby 2.0 is now available, could you please drop support for
Ruby1.8 and build the extension for Ruby2.0 ?

As a side note, I noticed that ruby-xmmsclient replaces
libxmmsclient-ruby1.8, but doesn't break/provide it, and nothing is done
for libxmmsclient-ruby.

Moreover the transitional package libxmmsclient0-ruby1.8 still depends
on ruby1.8, which is certainly not needed.

Thanks!

Cédric
