It looks like you're right... it looks like I made a subtle goof with 
cowbuilder as to why the build was repeatedly failing.  Thanks for reporting 
that it builds correctly.

Unfortunately the package for i386 is also broken, and I think you've pointed 
out the core issue -- the ABI changed between the -5 and -7 versions, but the 
only packages in Debian that were rebuilt were the architectures that didn't 
build -- namely ia64 and sparc.  Thus I believe mumble 1.2.4-0.1+b1 is likely 
broken for all architectures except ia64 and sparc right now.

Is there a method to get Debian's buildd's to triger a rebuild of the mumble 
package?
