Package: bash-completion Version: 1:2.1-2 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
I have just made a dist-upgrade and the new version of bash_completion has problems with proposing reasonble completions for python scripts. Previously, when I typed $ python [TAB] [TAB] I got the list of python scripts in the current directory. Now I simply get nothing. It seems the bug persists even if I specify a directory, e.g.: $ python ~/foo/bar/[TAB] Nothing at all. I briefly inspected the "python" bash_completion module in /usr/share/bash-completion/completions and it seems that it is now looking for modules, instead than standalone scripts. And this is very annoying, indeed. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.10-3-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages bash-completion depends on: ii bash 4.3-2 ii dpkg 1.17.6 bash-completion recommends no packages. bash-completion suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- [ Enzo Nicosia - School of Mathematical Sciences - Queen Mary UL ] [ aka KatolaZ --- GLUG Catania -- Freaknet Medialab -- Poetry -- ] [ v.nicosia[at]qmul.ac.uk - vincenzo.nicosia [at] ct.infn.it -- ] [ katolaz [at] yahoo [dot] it -- katolaz [at] freaknet.org -- ] [ GPG finger: 8E59 D6AA 445E FDB4 A153 3D5A 5F20 B3AE 0B5F 062F ] -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
