You have to differ between wrong packaging and missfunctions inside the
software.
I read your bug report as "The packaging is broken."

So as you not showing a log from the upgrade I can't assume that the
packaging is broken in Icedove.

No, it's a work in progress and that's why we start right now to upload
30.0~b1 to unstable. We haven't got the time to this with 28.0~b1 oder
29.0~b1.
But we have done the same with 24.0~b3 several months ago.

No, there is no rule to upload betas to experimental first. This would be
a "yes" for first versions into Debian or alpha versions.

Also here No! It's unstable! There may things be broken.

And when we should start do you think?
We need unstable to get most of the testing people. There are more
Mozilla extension that need a deeper testing before they could go down
to testing or later to stable-security, like Enigmail for example.

Don't blame us, the warnings are everythere to read about the side
effects that unstable brings.
And there is a *big* info on the Github site ...

   "NO LONGER MAINTAINED..."

Sorry, but this aren't good news and I strongly believe this extension is
then end of live for Icedove > 24.

Carsten
