The upstream Globus Toolkit distribution dropped RLS when Globus Toolkit
5.2 was released in December 2011. The Debian package has kept the old
GT 5.0 version compiled against the new GT 5.2 libraries until now. But
with the release of GT 6.0 this effort becomes harder due to the change
of build system from GPT to autotools/libtool in GT. And it is almost 3
years since the code is no longer maintained so it is time to retire it
from Debian anyway.
