Package: iceweasel
Version: 24.4.0esr-1~deb7u2
Severity: normal

Hello

I have just updated my Debian GNU/Linux Wheezy armhf system via update-notifier
and did a "non safe update" (does also remove pacakges). Xulrunner was updated
to version 24.8.1esr-2~deb7u1 and the iceweasel package was removed. I tried to
reinstall iceweasel
which was unsuccessful.

Iceweasel demands xulrunner version 24.8.1esr-1~deb7u1 but version
24.8.1esr-2~deb7u1 was installed.

After that I removed xulrunner and retried to install iceweasel but the same
dependency problem appeared.

I disabled the mozilla.debian.net repository, did apt-get update and tried to
install iceweasel once more
but it failed again because of the wrong version of xulrunner.

Bug #695212 may be related to my dependency problem with iceweasel.

Possible solutions:
- iceweasel and xulrunner should be updated at the same time
- the dependency on xulrunner should not include checking for minor version
numbers (e.g. xulruner >24.8.x.x).

Moritz Strohm
