aMule runs an asyncronous call to the previewing app since some months ago. I'm almost sure this is done this way in 2.0.3 too. Please try with some other prviewer suhc as mplayer and see if it also stays zombie. I believe this must be something related with vlc, not aMule. Even if mplayer stayed zombie, it would be a wxwindows bug rather than aMule's :)
