Package: dbus Version: 1.8.16-1 Severity: important When I execute "service dbus restart" as root (as suggested by checkrestart), I can't logout properly:
First, when I quit the window manager (fvwm), only the window manager quits; the X applications are still running. I suspect that the cause is that the X server is still running. Then I can do a "kill -TERM -1", but the X server is still running. Then I can kill X from a virtual terminal, but my display manager, lightdm, doesn't show up in any VT (7, 8, 9), and restarting it doesn't solve the problem. -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=POSIX, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: sysvinit (via /sbin/init) Versions of packages dbus depends on: ii adduser 3.113+nmu3 ii libaudit1 1:2.4-1+b1 ii libc6 2.19-15 ii libcap-ng0 0.7.4-2 ii libdbus-1-3 1.8.16-1 ii libexpat1 2.1.0-6+b3 ii libselinux1 2.3-2 ii libsystemd0 215-11 ii lsb-base 4.1+Debian13+nmu1 dbus recommends no packages.
