I only noticed Henning Sprang message because I browsed the BTS. Not sure whether I overlooked it in my email or that he should have explicitly cc 346304-submitter as well.
I will reply briefly because I don't have enough time for a thourough reply. Hopefully you would be able to extract useful information from my short reply. I used debootstrap 0.3.3, both before and after applying my patch locally. I believe that 0.3.3 is from testing. Not sure whether it is newer then the one at sarge. From memory, I deduced that debootstrap is having problems with the original code in fai because I got an error message about debootstrap not recognising the string unstable. I could be wrong. I might also be wrong in my further conclusion that this is due to the fact that there is no mention of unstable neither in debootstrap.8 man page nor in /usr/lib/debootstrap/scripts: $ ls /usr/lib/debootstrap/scripts/ breezy hoary.buildd sarge.buildd warty woody.buildd etch potato sarge.fakechroot warty.buildd hoary sarge sid woody I skimmed quickly at fai-server_2.9-multi-distribution:make-fai-nfsroot:call_debootstrap(). Since it looks to me similar to the version in the original fai I conckuded that it, too, will fail in the same way that I described above. I haven't actually tried it nor do I have much knoweldge in debootstrap internals. I might be totally wrong. As a side note, is there a reference for fai-server*multi-distribution somewhere in fai's home page? Does it have its own home page? -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
