Sorry for the late response. As for the bug, I'm seeing that too and some
other users are too (see #347947). I have "fixed" the bug by introducing a
signal handler for the SIGPIPE but it turns out that the problem occurs with
all hosts I've tested it against (Samba server, Windows XP and Windows 2000
Advanced server) and I'm not knowledgeable enough about the Samba code in
order to fix this.

Upstream is dead, well, actually, they released nat 2.0 version [1] which is
binary only and they explicitly say they will not be releasing their source
code for it.

I have some packages with debugging capabilites enabled (and some compile
warnings fixed too) which seem to behave better (no SIGPIPEs) but cannot
actually do bulk scans properly. If anybody wants to check them out and try
to fix this issue please speak up.

I'm going to leave these bugs open for a while and see if someone can step in
but, if I'm not able to fix them, I'm going to reassing these to
ftp.debian.org and ask smb-nat to be removed from Debian altogether.

I'm also raising this bug's severity since it cannot be really used for its
intended purposes (also, maybe it being an RC bug might attract some more
attention to the package)

Regards

Javier
