Support for images with larger dimensions was available when the package used to link with jasper, and presumably openjpeg1 as well. However, this feature hasn't been available ever since the package has been mistakenly trying to compile with openjpeg2. As it is now, the code doesn't support openjpeg2 and the package may as well not list openjpeg2 as a build dependency. I have had a go at getting the code to work with openjpeg2 and it seems to do the trick. I will make my changes available at https://github.com/e7appew/libicns.git on the openjpeg2 branch for your perusal.
