If you do so, please keep in mind that GNOME Software / KDE Discover /
Isenkram and potentially other stuff will stop working or stop working
properly, so you might decide to just remove that stuff completely
instead of delivering a broken user experience.
You can prevent just the download of icon files via that config
snippet though, but doing that will also lead to issues at some point
(software center apps having no icons, or simply ignoring apps because
they can't display any icon).
