Dear subscribers,

I am writing to confirm this bug in Debian Jessie with jessie-backports and
manually backported laptop-mode-tools 1.71 from testing. For this I followed
the guide at https://wiki.debian.org/SimpleBackportCreation. Here are my build
and install commands.

dget -x
http://http.debian.net/debian/pool/main/l/laptop-mode-tools/laptop-mode-tools_1.71-1.dsc
cd laptop-mode-tools_1.71
dch --local ~bpo8+ --distribution jessie-backports "Rebuild for
jessie-backports"
dpkg-buildpackage -us -uc
dpkg -i ../laptop-mode-tools_1.71-1_all.deb

On battery the root file system is mounted read-only which shocked me in the
first place as I thought my disk was failing but fsck reported all disks as
clean and SMART status is good. The system logs do not give any hint why it
would remount the partition read-only. It is the same message as in another
post in this thread, namely (my hostname is »laptop«)

Mar 08 09:30:53 laptop kernel: EXT4-fs (sda1): re-mounted. Opts:
errors=remount-ro

which is not the place where the read-only remount takes place. Nothing else
appears in the logs. Downgrading to 1.70 fixes the problem.

If you need any further logs, please contact me. Happy bug hunting!

Cheers,
Henri
