Like I mentioned previously, I haven't been able to reproduce this bug on Debian
Sid with LMT 1.71.

First LMT does not read-only mount the root fs, or an fs for that matter.

Yes, Please. It must be something else triggering the ro mount. You need to
provide full boot log.
