Hi there,

I created a small pitivi project that begins with a title sequence and
then fades into a Matroska video, saved it as a pitivi project (.xges)
file and quit pitivi. When I start pitivi again from the gnome shell
(!) or gnome shell's integrated run command dialog window (Alt+F2), and
want to open that project again, pitivi freezes and, as it seems, does
not consume any CPU time.

Instead, when I start pitivi from a terminal window (!), it loads the
saved project file and I can continue to work with pitivi. I'm pretty
puzzled that pitivi works correctly, only when launched from a terminal
window :) My only guess what could lead pitivi to freeze, is that maybe
gnome-shell changes something related to stdin/-out, that does not
happen when pitivi is launched from a terminal window, or so.

The included Matroska video file (maybe any other video file format?)
is necessary to trigger the freeze. If I create a pitivi project file
that only consists of title sequences, pitivi does not freeze when
loading such projects.

Kind regards - Fuddl
