reassign 349472 linux-2.6
severity 349472 important
thanks

Hi,

I have strong reasons to believe that this is not k-p fault. The linux-2.6
version which is prepared for experimental (dists/exp in svn) has this bug
too, while 2.6.15 builds fine with the same version of k-p. I believe that
the bug occurs since new version of debian/rules.gen sets the LOCALVERSION
variable and passes it (implicitly) to the make-kpkg call. So we end up
with --append-to-version '-1-s390' and LOCALVERSION set to '-s390'.
I don't really know why setting LOCALVERSION suddenly became necessary, but reverting this change should fix things. I've tried removing one instance of flavour from --append-to-version, but the build still fails then.

Best regards,
