Could you check if libpam-systemd is installed and enabled in common-session pam file?

Regarding the "/sys/fs/cgroup/cgmanager" error, could you check that pam_cgm.so is NOT enabled in any pam services?

You could use "pam-auth-update" to update the pam config files.
