Hi, > As you might have seen, a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] opens a new bug, so you > may not > want to use that... :-) I haven't seen a NEW bug, Debian's BTS should handle this the right way I believe. But you're right, it isn't necessary. >> What I'm a little bit surprised is the name of your auto-saved >> file. Fine. >> Furtheron, the value of variable >> `auto-save-file-name-transforms' is important to know. > > auto-save-file-name-transforms's value is > (("\\`/[^/]*:\\(.+/\\)*\\(.*\\)" "/tmp/\\2")) Hmm. That explains your filename. In my case I have (("\\`/[^/]*:\\([^/]*/\\)*\\([^/]*\\)\\'" "/tmp/\\2" t)) I'm not using the Debain-provided Emacs (sorry, Jérôme) but Emacs 22.0.50 from CVS. Applying Debian's emacs21 I have the same filename as you. And the access rights are 0600, as expected. Could you, please, check whether the auto-save file exists _before_ you start editing? The access rights will be set only creating that file; afterwards they are not touched. > Best, > > Kjetil Best regards, Michael. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
