I would be very interested in this, but don't have any spare time at
the moment to work on it so count this as a vote from me.

The use case I have is talking to a remote with borg 1.1, which is
currently spewing hundreds of unwanted progress log lines on each
backup (https://github.com/borgbackup/borg/issues/3173)

Of course, if there are any serious bug fixes in 1.1 affecting Debian, they
should be considered for stable too. If you are aware of any, could you
point them out in separate bugs so other users can be aware of them?
