I don't have it ready, but I imagine that it's not too much work
either way.  I wanted to include other changes in parallel, but didn't
have time to prepare it.

So I think that shlib bumping is a better route at this point.

About copying to #894049, I tought about replying to that bug report
instead, to show RMs that we're ready to go.  Feel free to point to
it, or tell me and I will reply to the other bug myself.
