Good question....

As for me, I'm in the process of stepping out from Debian, as my
priorities have progressively switched from Debian work to other
activities over the years.

I tried to prepare this properly, but the shutdown of Alioth didn't
help: I never took time to invest my time in Salsa before Alioth's
complete stop.....and I will probably never.

I can't speak for other pkg-running team members, but Ralf and Noèl
have low activity too....which, of course, brings concerns about
packages we maintained over the years.

In anycase, NMU with patches even to fix "trivial" stuff are highly
welcomed.
