This change can't be done in buster this late. Still it would be better to have the latest upstream release in buster. As discussed on IRC, I would like to suggest to re-introduce the latest usb.ids file in the package for the time being and then upload version 010 to unstable. The current buster version dates back to 2015 and there have been a few improvements. I was pinged by a Kali developer when they noticed this: https://github.com/aircrack-ng/rtl8812au/issues/77#issuecomment-457700405 I wonder if I should file this suggestion as a new bug report. If you think it's useful, please let me know.
