control: found -1 3.0.7-1 control: tags -1 + fixed-upstream I confirm that the upstream commit I referred to earlier solves my problem and allows the DVD to be played.
Inspection of the 3.0.7.1-2 source code suggests that the bug is still there (i.e. the commit didn't make it into that upstream release and isn't in debian/patches either) but I haven't verified it experimentally.
