Hello Philippe, I have tried to get the scanner Perfection V300 Photo on loan. Unfortunately it is not available for testing.
If it's true that the Epson driver doesn't work because of missing LSB, then it's not Debian, it's Epson. And that Debian no longer supports the hardware is not right. Debian has announced long enough in advance that LSB is no longer supported. Even if Epson does not react to the changes with the current version of the driver package, neither I as maintainer nor Debian can change anything about it. This is the job of Epson.
