I had checked it briefly a while ago and it is not a simple build dependency update. There were to many api changes that need to be adapted and at the time I didn't find a good migration guide. Unfortunately upstream also seems to be dead. I can try to have another look this weekend, but I may likely not find the time to port it myself in which case I would favor removal assuming dependencies can be migrated to something else.
