Ahh, so that was the issue, I got confused and was about to ping you
to help me figure it out.

I don't have any suggestion, this is fine for me.

Ok, rsync doesn't change much so this should not be a frequent issue,
in any case, since you pointed me to the issue and the fix, I can send
patches when it happens again.

By the way, I see that you addressed the "rsync maintainers"  in the
beginning but I didn't receive any email. Just saying because you
