The maintainer of the eduvpn suite decided to drop the baconqrcode dependency, mainly because of https://github.com/Bacon/BaconQrCode/issues/70 . Some old packaging effort for BaconQrCode 1.0.3 is still available from https://github.com/eduvpn/eduvpn-debian/tree/buster/BaconQrCode/debian , it might be useful for packaging 2.x.
