The backtrace is unfortunately not informative (and won't be unless you try to compile lyx on your own with debuging symbols enabled). I can not reproduce in stable-debian settings, so perhaps it has something to do with running unstable? Can you perhaps try whether it's better with 2.3.6 now? Pavel
