Hi Martin-Éric

can you please coordinate that with Simon.
I think he has been driving this effort.

Michael

In that case, a massive bin-NMU of GNOME packages might be in order.

Thanks!

Package: libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0
Version: 2.40.2-2
Depends: libgdk-pixbuf-2.0-0 (>= 2.40.0), libgdk-pixbuf-xlib-2.0-0 (>=
2.40.2-2)
Description-en: GDK Pixbuf library (transitional package)
This transitional package depends on the main library
libgdk-pixbuf-2.0-0
and the deprecated Xlib integration library libgdk-pixbuf-xlib-2.0-0.
   .
Packages that only require the main library should depend on
   libgdk-pixbuf-2.0-0 | libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0.
   .
Packages that require the Xlib integration should port away from it,
or until that can be done, depend on
   libgdk-pixbuf-xlib-2.0-0 | libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0.

Those dependencies are generated automatically, so I don't think it
makes sense to file bug reports against individual packages.
See also #981023

If those issues can be solved via binNMUs, they should be filed against
release.debian.org

See
https://salsa.debian.org/utopia-team/network-manager-applet/-/blob/debian/master/debian/control

There is no explicit libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 dependency there.
I.e., I as maintainer, can do nothing about this.

Regards,
Michael
