Dear Maintainer, Redshift flickers randomly between night mode and daylight mode after it has activated the night mode. When it is in night mode, it randomly changes the color-temp briefly back to daylight mode for a second and then goes back into night mode again. Sometimes after a reboot it works properly, sometimes not. Even when waking up from suspend it is completely luck whether it does flicker or not. This is not the expected behaviour. I added in ~/.config/redshift/redshift.conf and also in ~/.config/redshift.conf the following lines (which do not have any impact on this flickering issue): [redshift] location-provider=manual [manual] lat=52.52 lon=12.6 -- System Information: Debian Release: bullseye/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-5-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU threads) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages redshift depends on: ii init-system-helpers 1.60 ii libc6 2.31-10 ii libdrm2 2.4.104-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.66.7-2 ii libwayland-client0 1.18.0-2~exp1.1 ii libx11-6 2:1.7.0-2 ii libxcb-randr0 1.14-3 ii libxcb1 1.14-3 ii libxxf86vm1 1:1.1.4-1+b2 Versions of packages redshift recommends: pn geoclue-2.0 <none> redshift suggests no packages.
