No. This is not the intention, quite the contrary. This file probably escaped me, because I did not realize that the package bootlogd originates from sysvinit. Yes, that would be the best option. A few days ago I informed all translation teams about the transfer of translations to sysvinit, so if the French team could integrate the translation of bootlogd there, that'll be great. I suggest we keep this source file in the manpage l10n upstream repository for a few more weeks and then I ask upstream (Mario Blättermann) to move it to the archive. (Best if the French team would indicate a good time). For Debian, as stated above, I can do another upload removing this file as well.
