It's a brand-new CPU architecture with a potentially large userbase across 
Asia, especially
China. So, I think it's reasonable to expect there to be some users of Kodi on

That's not really a convincing argument. Kodi has build support for various 
POWER targets and
even IBM zSeries. I don't think we will ever see a TV box with a mainframe CPU 
in it, will we?

FWIW, I think the changes required are so minimal that "bloat" is not really an 
argument here.

It's an excuse.

And, while we're at it, we should also add support for mips64el.
