Thanks for the reponse - I am impressed by your ability to respond
almost immediately! However, should the bug report be left open for a
while and not immediately closed? Are you willing to review/merge if
somebody else submits an improvement to the README at
https://salsa.debian.org/md/usrmerge?
I can read some frustration from your reply with references that the
information is already easily available somewhere ("This has already
been discussed at lenght among the people attending the related Debian
infrastructure.") and that Ubuntu's switch to usrmerge is common
knowledge (apparently happened in Ubuntu 20.04 based on
https://packages.ubuntu.com/search?suite=all&searchon=names&keywords=usrmerge)
and confidence in that the fork that Ubuntu maintains has not relevant
changes.
If you leave this bug report / request open and tag it as 'help
needed', maybe other people who can more easily relate to the
user/sysadmin perspective can step up and contribute documentation
improvements?
