I think it's even worse than that: The test suite seems to enter an endless
loop,
producing a bigger and bigger build log, and the build needs to be killed by
hand
because otherwise the build log would take all available disk space.
The last log I got grew to 6 GB until I decided to kill it:

No surprise that the state of this package in Reproducible Builds is "banned":

For such reason, I believe this package should be removed from unstable and
uploaded to experimental instead, at the very minimum.
