What I forgot to mention:
MediaTek (employees) seem to contribute actively to the upstream Linux kernel.
And they agreed to publish those detailed docs related to the OpenWrt One.

Which indicates to me they have a very friendly attitude towards Linux and
FLOSS. So if you want a doc but can't find it (online), maybe just write them
an email and ask for it? I don't know if they respond (positively), but
certainly seems worth a try?

Cheers,
