Red herring, as you don't seem to be using gpgv. > ii gpgv 2.2.43-7 > ii gpgv-from-sq [gpgv] 0.9.0-1 If I am informed correctly the later diverts the former, so you are "secretly" using sq instead. apt 2.9.5 had a commit related to better support of this setup, but I haven't tried it myself, nor do we have any tests for this, and hence I don't know the objective qualification for better – after all, the world burning slightly slower is arguably better as well, even if its is still burning. #1073272 against it seems to suggest that it got kinda worse instead, but at least there is a promise of it working with a future 0.10. So, perhaps 'apt remove gpgv-from-sq' might "resolve" your problem. You might still want to figure out how that package got installed and perhaps report a bug against what brought it in as my understand was that this is not supposed to happen™, so some dependencies might be off. (for the avoidance of doubt: I have no opinion on sq as I haven't looked nor tried it yet, but I am not a gigantic fan of apt left not working, even in unstable, so I might have negative prejudices now) Best regards David Kalnischkies
