Finally after a long wait it showed the connect button and pressing on it took a long long time before it was connected. On the same connection from laptop it connect very fast.
So summary - need 2 qml6 modules and openvpn-systemd-resolved installed, and still wait a long long time - twice, first to get the button and second to get connected.
