Debian postfix package v2.1.5-9 did not support smtp_use_tls. First version version of postfix to use these settings was 2.2.0.

I guess it was the postfix-tls package at the time, - which was postfix patched to support tls. In this case, this issue has been fixed when TLS support has been merged in 2.2.0, most likely. Thanks, /mjt
