When applying an update image using swupdate-client with the following command: ``` swupdate-client -v <update-image.swu> ``` the update fails with the error: ``` swupdate_async_start returns -1 ``` This issue has already been fixed in Debian testing and unstable by setting the runtime directory at compile time: https://salsa.debian.org/debian/swupdate/-/commit/c02ed6380b35933cae5d257e013f37bc676b7666 However, the fix does not appear to be included in Debian Trixie stable (2024.12.1+dfsg-3+deb13u1).
