Sorry, I may have misunderstood. Let me recap:You are looking for a way to inject config snippets into LightDM without modifying the /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf that is shipped in the Debian package of lightdm.
Then I proposed dropping your custom file into /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d/ on your local system. You agreed that that is a good solution.
Then I closed the bug, because the means you need (drop-in files for config tweaking) is already present in lightdm's package, so not a bug anymore from package maintainers' points of view.
Problem solved, I thought. Is your problem not solved? Mike -- mike gabriel aka sunweaver (Debian Developer) mobile: +49 (1520) 1976 148 landline: +49 (4351) 486 14 27 GnuPG Fingerprint: 9BFB AEE8 6C0A A5FF BF22 0782 9AF4 6B30 2577 1B31 mail: [email protected], http://sunweavers.net
