Package: slim Version: 1.4.1-5 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
I ran apt install to update several packages, including slim. After a while, I discovered that my X session had been restarted along with slim. I think it would be more appropriate if APT asked for confirmation to restart the daemon so that the user had time to close applications and save their data. -- System Information: Debian Release: forky/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 7.1.8+deb14.1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=ru_RU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ru_RU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages slim depends on: ii dbus [default-dbus-system-bus] 1.16.2-5+b1 ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.92 ii libc6 2.43-3 ii libgcc-s1 16.2.0-1 ii libjpeg62-turbo 1:3.1.3-4 ii libpam-systemd [logind] 261.2-1 ii libpam0g 1.7.0-8 ii libpng16-16t64 1.6.58-1 ii libstdc++6 16.2.0-1 ii libx11-6 2:1.8.13-1 ii libxext6 2:1.3.4-1+b4 ii libxft2 2.3.6-1+b5 ii libxmu6 2:1.1.3-4+b1 ii libxrandr2 2:1.5.4-1+b4 ii x11-xserver-utils 7.7+11 Versions of packages slim recommends: ii xterm 410-1 Versions of packages slim suggests: pn scrot <none> ii xauth 1:1.1.2-1.1 -- Configuration Files: /etc/slim.conf changed [not included] -- debconf information: slim/daemon_name: /usr/bin/slim * shared/default-x-display-manager: slim
