I have no more interest in packaging med-fichier. This package is under
the umbrella of the Debian Science Maintiner, but nobody has stepped up
to package the new upstream release. And nobody answered my ping [1] on
the subject.

Description:
 MED-fichier (Modélisation et Echanges de Données, in English
 Modelisation and Data Exchange) is a library to store and exchange
 meshed data or computation results. It uses the HDF5 file format to
 store the data.

There is currently only one reverse-dependency on med-fichier: freecad.

Since you managed to patch med-fichier to build against HDF5 2.x, and
freecad is the only reverse dependency of med-fichier, do you intend to
adopt it?
