It explicitly enables the single-binary sequence and moves the existing installation steps to before/after hooks. The German catalog is still regenerated, including with nocheck, and libtool .la files are still removed. It also records Applied-Upstream for the German translation patch: https://github.com/Libvisual/libvisual/pull/428 Upstream merged it into 0.4.x on 3 October. The patch itself remains needed with the current 0.4.2 tarball; its content has not changed. There are no plugin code, translation, API/ABI, runtime dependency or plugin selection changes. The separate libvisual package is untouched. The accepted -5 source remains unchanged. There is no CI-specific workaround, and no check has been disabled or made optional. Validation on current unstable: * source build, amd64 sbuild and installed-plugin autopkgtest: PASS; * normal and nocheck packages, including dbgsym: byte-identical; * comparison against -5 rebuilt with the same toolchain: unchanged runtime dependencies, paths, permissions, catalogs and allocated ELF sections (excluding build IDs); still 13 actors, 5 inputs and 4 morphs; * installed German catalog: 109 translations, no fuzzy/untranslated entries; * Lintian 2.142.0: no errors or warnings, only existing experimental tags. Salsa CI for the exact candidate commit: all 11 required jobs PASS, including amd64/i386/source builds, Lintian, autopkgtest, piuparts, blhc, debrebuild and uscan: https://salsa.debian.org/debian/libvisual-plugins/-/pipelines/1187429 For transparency, the mentors package page reports these additional Lintian diagnostics: * W: missing-debian-watch-file-standard [debian/watch]; * W: recommended-field: Priority in the source stanza; * P: package-uses-experimental-debhelper-compat-version: 14. These diagnostics are not reproduced by the local Lintian 2.142.0 check; the Salsa Lintian job also passes. No overrides were added to suppress them. I have verified that the signed .dsc and both tarballs published on mentors are byte-identical to the local candidate checked above. The candidate is on debian/master at e34e1fc6b77cacc47ed77b5ed32d89f618cf9a7d. No Debian release tag has been created; I will wait for ACCEPTED before tagging.
