unfortunately, as i mentioned in my last mail i've purged the packages
in question :(
i can verify, however, that i did not (intentionally at least) make any
modifications to the latex/tetex/etc packages, and have always taken the
default choices from the debconf promtps. it seems someone else has
provided the information though, so hopefully that helps.
