I agree with you with regard to this, but my package isn't forcing anybody to 
do any link. There is no need at all to have a /usr/lib/cgi-bin/mimetex.cgi, 
most users don't want a cgi there. As I've already explained, the main use of 
mimetex is to be used with Moodle, and it's working perfectly.
