I find myself wanting to add multiple database users through dbconfig-common, in my postinst script. I have multiple daemons accessing a mysql database. I would like a separate user for each, so that I can tell what daemon is running what query based upon the user that's logged in. I also want to only give the daemon users SELECT privileges, while dbconfig-common grants ALL to the user it creates. It would also be nice if there was a way to specify what privileges the database user(s) have. I would think it would be pretty common for a package to want to create a single user with only SELECT privileges (say, a web app that the admin might not overly trust in terms of security). -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
