Package: libsane
Version: 1.0.18-5
Severity: normal

This scanner worked fine in sarge, now it's unusable. Will the Sarge
libsane packages still work on Etch?

The test below is with libsane from Sid on a Etch system, but the same
behavior was seen with the libsane from Etch.

All commands below are exactly as entered, no other commands in between.
For some reason it's alternating between seeing the scanner and not
seeing the scanner. sane-find-scanner always sees the scanner
correctly. Reconnecting the usb plug does not fix the problem.
