Hi, I've been checking this bug and it seems to be easily reproduceable, also, I've encountered some extra details: - thunar does not start a gam_server if gamin 0.1.8 is installed - iceweasel also fails to start a gam_server - with gamin 0.1.7, if iceweasel started first, thunar works as if there is no gam_server, if thunar is started first it works fine. - with nautilus, gamin seems to work fine.
I believe there is a difference in the way the gam_server is started, from version 0.1.7 and 0.1.8, but I still could not find any. Also given the broken behaviour of gamin, I believe thunar, iceweasel, and probably other programs are doing something more "nasty" than nautilus. -- " Software is like sex it's better when it's free.
