About your mail to the pdns list, i've splitted the config of pdns and
have made a patch that adds a directive to the pdns config, to add a
directory with files which contains configuration items. So you could
split out the ldap config from the main pdns config.

My bad - I should have checked if it was a debianism before posting to the list - sorry!

But thanks very much for introducing this patch - splitting up the configuration file is very useful!

Problem is that i made a little fault in doing the configuration
automatically and it seems there are people using unstable stuff on
production machines ;)

Well, it's called unstable for a reason - bugs are part of the process : )

I can't spot the bug in your patch - but I played around with file names in /etc/powerdns/pdns.d/ - some work yet not others - for instance, "ldap" gets included & "recu" gets included - but if the directory contains both "ldap" & "recu", neither gets included. "pdns.recursor" doesn't work - neither does "pdns.local" for that matter - my ldap configuration broke when I upgraded, until I removed "pdns.local"

Have you reproduced this problem?

Many thanks!
