I have never particularly worried about the examples/ subdirectory, as
it's fairly fluid.  I will make an effort to look it over, but as it's
(by design) functionally not part of the program, it's actually fairly
irrelevant to me.  Perhaps either a lintian override or a bug to lintian
to not complain about executable-not-elf-or-script in the examples
subdirectory.

These should actually probably be overriden, as they are all on purpose.
